A Napoleon III gilt bronze and marble mantel clock retailed by Maples Paris. The circular enamel dial painted with swags of flowers & roman numerals, inset a gilt drum case surmounted by a flowing tied ribbons and flanked by floral swags with column sides, the front supported by a seated maiden and standing putti. The ormolu mounted stepped fleur de pêcher plinth with toupie feet. The eight day Vincenti movement withBrocot suspension rack striking the hour & half hour on a bell, the cast pendulum bob visible. The movement and pendulum numbered 2088.
