‘Gillows’ Style Rosewood Games Pembroke Table ‘Miles & Edwards’

Miles & Edwards Oxford Street London 7104

A Rosewood Pembroke games table in a style strongly associated with Gillows. The rectangular top with central slide, concealing a removable tray decorated for backgammon, reversing to an inlaid chequers board, flanked by twin drop flaps supported by knuckle jointed lopers. The front with a dummy and a real mahogany lined drawer, retaining the original rosewood turned pulls, standing on four turned reeded legs ending in ‘Copes Patent’ brass caps and castors.
