The shaped case with straight sides, mounted with pierced metal & material lined panels, surmounted by a flame finial with a glazed front panel and visible starburst pendulum. The circular enamel dial with blue roman numerals and pierced brass hands, with an eight day Japy Freres movement and Brocot suspension, rack striking the hour and half hour on a bell. Mounts regilded. Movement numbered 8145.

The finial modelled as a basket of fruit above a waisted shaped case inset with glazed panel and visible starburst pendulum, the sides and front inlaid with engraved scrolling brass and mounted with rococo gilt bronze. The circular twelve piece enamel dial, with an eight day movement and brocot suspension, striking the hour and half hour with outside countwheel on a bell. Movement and pendulum numbered 4363.

The square bow fronted tops above a single drawer with cupboard below, the door with centre flame oval veneer, standing on acanthus carved turned legs. A late 19th century, French, patinated bronze figure of ‘Ulysses arming his Bow’ after Jacques Bousseau ( 1681-1740). The mythological figure of Ulysses naturalistically modelled, resting on a tree stump, straining to arm his bow, and supported by a square verde marble plinth. Retaining the original dark green patination.

Jacques Bousseau, 1681-1740, was a French sculptor. He was a pupil of the celebrated Nicolas Coustou, and was approved at the French Royal Academy of Painting and Sculpture, in 1715. In France and Spain he bore the title of King of Sculptor and was well known and respected during his lifetime. Various examples of his sculptures, as with other of his contemporaries, were copied by sculptors in the late 19th Century, to satisfy demand for classical pieces such as this.
A pair of gilt bronze and carrera marble urns in the Louis XVI style. The pinatum finials above pierced borders with marble bodies mounted with floral swags and supported by three rams heads with hoof feet standing on triform marble plinths and toupie feet. Regilded.

The Pompeii faun, a bearded male, standing with his right foot forward, hands held aloft, the other depicted with his right foot on a scabellum and with a cymbal in each hand. Each on a rectangular sienna marble plinth. Original patination.

The radially vennered top with central fan, surrounded by floral swags and medallions of musical trophies and putti. The rectangular top with twin drop flap ends, veneered in kingwood and with a satinwood cross banding, above a pair of mahogany lined drawers with turned ebony pulls, and dummy en verso. The base with trestle ends, united by an upcurved stretcher, standing on short sabre legs ending in patinated brass caps and castors. The base with cast, patinated bronze, acanthus roundels, four of which are replacements.

The enamel dial with roman numerals, signed Frodsham, flanked by porcelain panels painted with portrait medallions and floral panels, the bowed ends with landscapes and exotic birds, surmounted by a pair of cherubs and fluttering doves. The base with finely chased border and toupie feet, and retaining the original fire gilding. The eight day movement with Brocot suspension, rack striking the hour & half hour on a bell, numbered 3509.

The serpentine shaped base with a pair of small frieze drawers, supported by four slender tapering square legs with splay ends, united by an oval platform with curved supports. Drawer stamped Edwards & Roberts, also ivorine label to reverse.
