A late 19th century, French, mahogany & gilt bronze mounted vitrine on stand in the Louis XVI style, by Lampre. The carrera marble top with pierced gallery, above a glazed vitrine with central door, mirrored back and bowed sides, the open base with a frieze drawer, standing on short cabriole legs. A. LAMPRE, cabinetmaker specializing in the manufacture of gaming tables of all styles for which he held a patent. He participated in the Universal Exhibitions of 1878 and 1889 where he won several bronze medals. He practiced at 72, Faubourg Saint-Honoré from 1876 and 40, rue Amelot from 1882 to the end of the century.
