A late 19th century, Louis XV inspired, French, ormolu mounted purpleheart & tulipwood writing table inlaid with trellis pattern marquetry. Of kidney form, the top with a replaced gilt tooled leather writing surface above a single oak lined frieze drawer, retaining the original lock & key, supported by four slender cabriole legs ending in sabots. Stamped ‘G DURAND’ multiple times to the underside.
