A fine quality mid 19th century, Victorian, walnut, tulipwood crossbanded & marquetry inlaid ormolu mounted card table. The rectangular top with yew panel and stiff leaf banding opening to reveal a baize lined playing interior and polished well, supported by four tapering turned legs ending in castors. The whole mounted with finely cast ormolu embellishments.

A late 19th century marquetry inlaid and gilt bronze mounted guéridon after Weiswieller, by François Linke. The circular top with parquetry centre surrounded by a wide marquetry ribbon band, supported by four pairs of open cluster columns united by a pierced wavy stretcher standing on paw feet. A pair of 1st Empire period, French, gilt and patinated bronze tazzas with griotte uni marble plinths. The shallow dish tops with twin handles above flared socles and marble plinths on stepped bases. The bases mounted alternately with ‘Winged Victory’ & ‘Roman Brazier’. Finely chased and mercury gilded mounts.

The richly figured rectangular top with split bead edge, above a pair of mahogany lined drawers with original turned pulls and double cockbeaded edge, with dummy en verso, standing on rectangular moulded pillar ends with carved scroll decoration, and carved hairy paw feet with concealed castors.

The polished top with tulipwood cross banding above an inlaid frieze with single astragal glazed door below enclosing a relined interior with shelves and cupboard under, flanked by curved glazed sides, and standing on short square tapering legs with spade feet.

A late 19th century, French, mahogany and gilt bronze mounted guéridon possibly by Paul Sormani. The circular galleried top with onyx panel, above a frieze, each section with scrolling foliate cast mounts, one concealed as a drawer, standing on four turned fluted legs united by a shaped stretcher with central finial. Mounts regilded. Lock stamped ‘Duvivier 77 Rue St Antoine Paris’.

A late 19th century, French, mahogany, gilt bronze & Jasper mounted ‘Gaine’ attributed to Francois Linke. The square marble top with pierced gallery above a single sprung frieze drawer with leather lined slide above, each side mounted with foliate acanthus ormolu and central ‘Sèvres’ jasper panel, standing on four tapering legs united by a shaped stretcher with pineapple finial.

Ferdinand Barbedienne A Collas Reduction Mechanique

A late 19th century, French, patinated bronze ‘Laurent De Medicis’ cast by F. Barbedienne, with the A. Collas Reduction Mechanique seal. The well cast and chased figure after the renowned Michelangelo sculpture of Lorenzo di Piero de Medici (1492-1519), in the Medici tomb, Florence. The base with inset seal to the reverse, and inscribed twice F. Barbedienne Fondeur. The base with ink numbering. The Barbedienne catalogue index ‘La Reduction nº 7’.

Antique Marquetry Inlaid Mahogany Bijouterie Table by ‘Edwards & Roberts’

Attributed to Edwards & Roberts

A late Victorian mahogany and marquetry inlaid bijouterie table. The rectangular bevelled glazed top with interlaced inlaid border opening to a relined damask interior, above four panelled sides each inlaid with scrolling acanthus, the four square tapering legs each headed by an inlaid frond with trailing garrya below and ending in brass caps and castors. Although not stamped this table vitrine is almost certainly by ‘Edwards & Roberts’.

Antique Red Tortoiseshell & Cut Brass Boulle Mantel Clock

Billiet & Cottebrune Paris

A late 19th century, French, brass inlaid scarlet red tortoiseshell and ormolu mounted mantel clock. The finial modelled as a basket of fruit above a waisted shaped case, the sides and front inlaid  with engraved scrolling brass and mounted with rococo gilt bronze. The circular gilt dial with twelve piece enamel tablets, an eight day movement with brocot suspension, rack striking the hour and half hour on a bell. Movement and pendulum numbered 8559.

Antique George III Kingwood & Indian Rosewood Teapoy

An unusual George III Kingwood & Indian rosewood teapoy now fitted with a brass liner. Of rectangular box form, the rising lid revealing a fitted interior of three tea caddies, one above the other, and a brass liner replacing the mixing bowls. The finely figured Kingwood top and front with tulipwood crossbanding, the sides with brass carrying handles, a small drawer to the right, supported by four square tapering legs with fine line inlay and ending in brass caps and castors.

Antique Victorian Gothic Brass Skeleton Timepiece

A mid 19th century, Victorian, Gothic brass skeleton timepiece with rosewood plinth and glass dome. The single fusee movement with anchor escapement of eight day duration, with five & spoke wheel work throughout (six spoke to the escape wheel). The circular dial retaining the original gilding and painted roman numerals with signs of wear to some numerals. The shaped plates with six turned pillars, brass bob pendulum retains the knurled locking nut for transportation.
